Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

Centra Healthcare Allied is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join their team for a travel job in Elberton, Georgia.

A great SNF / LTC is looking for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join their team for a contract assignment.

The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for assessing patients with speech, hearing, and language deficits, and providing treatment to improve their communication skills. The Speech Language Pathologist will also work with patients to strengthen their muscles and develop strategies to swallow safely.

Requirements:

  • Must have graduated from an accredited school
  • Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist or in the process of obtaining licensure
  • Current CPR certification
  • Work within an interdisciplinary team to develop a plan of care for each patient
  • Provide skilled speech therapy services in accordance with physician orders
  • Assess patient needs, plan for, evaluate, and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
  • Set realistic and achievable goals for patients to develop or recover reliable communication and swallowing skills
  • Candidate must be an SLP-CCC
