Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team at Enviva. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical issues, performing field work, and completing work orders and preventative maintenance as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues related to PLCs, motor control centers, and electrical devices.
  • Perform electrical field work in a continuous manufacturing environment.
  • Complete work orders and preventative maintenance as required.
  • Conduct periodic inspections of heavy equipment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
  • Two to three years of manufacturing experience.
  • Four years of electrical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to use hand tools and power tools for repairing and replacing wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Adhere to compliance, rules, and safety regulations.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and extreme temperatures.
  • Willingness to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.
  • Strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to 12 hours a day.
  • Ability to work around moving equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to pull and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
