Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at UNLV Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and services in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals in the examination and treatment of patients.
  • Perform various clinical and administrative tasks, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication skills to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduation from a Medical Assistant program required.
  • One year of medical assisting experience in an ambulatory/clinical setting preferred.
  • Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant Certification or Registration required or obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Current CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Basic computer literacy required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Good communication and customer service skills required.

  • Competitive hourly rate of $17.95-21.45 per hour, based on years of experience.
