Assistant Coach for Women's Golf Program

This opportunity is part of our graduate assistant framework, necessitating enrollment in one of the University's graduate programs, including Master of Education, Master of Science in Learning and Talent Development, Master of Science in Sports Administration and Leadership, or Master of Business Administration. The selected candidate will play a vital role in various facets of the golf program, which encompasses recruiting, coaching, video analysis, equipment management, and additional responsibilities. This position offers an on-campus meal plan, a stipend, and tuition remission from the University. All finalists for the position will be required to provide three professional references.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a representative of Midland University
  • Engaging in recruitment efforts
  • Facilitating coaching and instructional activities during training sessions
  • Preparing for practices
  • Overseeing strength and conditioning programs throughout the season and off-season
  • Conducting video analysis
  • Coordinating practice and game schedules
  • Assisting with team travel arrangements
  • Organizing camps and clinics
  • Ensuring compliance with all NAIA and institutional regulations
  • Managing academic support initiatives
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree
  • Prior experience as a collegiate golfer or professional golf experience
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A valid driver's license (or the ability to obtain one shortly after commencing the role)

Compensation Package:
  • Tuition remission for the master's program, with the level of remission contingent on the degree pursued
