The Tulalip Tribes is seeking a skilled Substance Use Disorder Professional to provide counseling services to Tribal members and the local community.

Job Summary: This position involves providing substance abuse treatment and intervention to individuals with complex disorders and treatment needs. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to network and collaborate with various groups and agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide counseling services to individuals and families affected by substance abuse
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address substance use disorders
  • Network and communicate effectively with community organizations and agencies
  • Engage and motivate clients to achieve positive behavior change
  • Support and facilitate connections between clients and their families

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Associate's Degree or academic equivalent
  • One year of experience working with diverse cultures, specifically Native Americans
  • One year of experience working with HIPAA law and maintaining confidentiality
  • One year of experience counseling for substance use disorder
  • Active Substance Use Disorder Professional certification
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • HIPAA certification

Terms of Employment: This is a contracted position with The Tulalip Tribes.
