Parish Administrative Assistant

Job Summary:
The Parish Secretary is a key member of the parish team, responsible for providing administrative support to the parish office. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the pastor, office manager, and staff
- Manage office operations, including scheduling, supplies, and equipment
- Process mail and prepare weekly bulletins, newsletters, and other publications
- Manage new member data and provide welcome letters and information to ministry leaders
- Oversee the maintenance of the parish calendar and facility schedule
- Order and maintain office supplies and equipment
- Support the pastor and staff with administrative tasks
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Provide general office support and reception duties
Requirements:
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Proficiency in the use of office software
- Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience in an administrative role
- Strong computer skills, word, and excel
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
