Ironworker - Fabricator

Steel Girder, LLC. is seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our team in establishing and installing steel or iron frames for the construction of buildings and other structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of blueprints, sketches, and other instructions, as well as experience with prefabricated iron and steel, crane operation, and welding equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and follow blueprints, sketches, and other instructions
Unload and stack prefabricated iron and steel for lifting with slings
Signal crane operators to lift and position structural and reinforcing iron and steel
Use shears, rod-bending machines, torches, hand tools, and welding equipment to cut, bend, and weld structural and reinforcing iron and steel
Align structural and reinforcing iron and steel vertically and horizontally using tag lines, plumb bobs, lasers, and levels
Connect iron and steel with bolts, wire, or welds
Install metal decking
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an apprenticeship or experience in the field
Ability to pass pre-employment drug-test
Must be able to lift 75 pounds
