Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse-Cardiology to join our team at Renown Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide optimal patient care, utilizing your knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care, assessment, and planning in close collaboration with the physician.
  • Facilitate patient communications, including returning phone calls and MyChart messaging.
  • Administer treatment and medications per policy.
  • Act as a liaison between provider and patient, ensuring that patient questions and concerns are addressed.
  • Document all chart and phone encounters in EPIC, identifying potentially avoidable/non-reimbursed events, quality indicators, and core measures.
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines and/or accrediting bodies.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all medical and department records, meeting confidentiality compliance standards set by TJC and HIPAA.
  • Create a relationship-based patient experience for patient members and clinical team.
  • Coordinate patient communication and follow-up on a regular basis, documenting all patient contact in EPIC.
  • Return phone, email, and MyChart inquiries within 24 hours, keeping physician(s) and team informed about progress.

  • Ability to interact effectively with persons of differing socioeconomic backgrounds.

  • Knowledge of basic clinical skills.
  • Sound nursing judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, motor/sensory, psychosocial, and safety appropriate to the age of the patient served.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Clerical and office skills helpful.
Education and Experience

Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. Appropriate education to obtain and maintain Registered Nursing licensure in the state of Nevada. Minimum of one (1) year RN experience preferred.

Certifications and Licenses

Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Registered Nurse license. BLS from AHA approved program required. ACLS from AHA approved program required for cost center and ONS OCN required within three years for cost center only.
