Pavement Superintendent

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Pavement Superintendent to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing milling and paving operations in the Richmond VA area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Showcase technical proficiency in milling and paving operations, ensuring high-quality results and efficient project execution.
• Project Planning: Understand project plan details, specifications, estimates, man-hour budgets, and production rates to develop comprehensive work and staffing plans.
• Crew Management: Plan and organize work to optimize crew productivity, communicate performance expectations, and supervise field managers to ensure schedule and financial goals are met.
• Quality Control: Inspect construction work to ensure quality standards are met, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Safety Protocols: Follow safety protocols, including preplanning, safety equipment use, and accident investigation to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with field managers, other superintendents, and customers to ensure successful project plans and customer satisfaction.
• Resource Management: Manage coordination with asphalt plants, trucking dispatchers, and MOT teams for safety, profit, scheduling compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; equivalent work experience considered.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of milling and paving experience with at least 2 years of superintendent experience.
• Certifications: OSHA 30-hour certification required (or must certify/enroll in a course within 6 months of hire/promotion).
• License: Valid driver's license required.

Benefits:
