We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Geoprobe Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling soil probing and technical drilling equipment, utilizing detailed schematics to build complex machines.
Key Responsibilities- Follow safety guidelines for the safe operation of all equipment.
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace.
- Perform regular test and inspection procedures to ensure that machines are assembled to specifications.
- Implement and identify needs for improvement to ensure that the quality of products is maintained.
- Complete all assignments in a timely manner and meet production delivery schedules.
- Study, read, and interpret schematic engineering drawings.
- Build components and assemble drilling machines with unique requirements from start to finish.
- Use hand tools, magnetic drill, grinder, and air tools to assemble product.
- Use measurement devices such as tape measure, caliper, etc.
- Troubleshoot your own work to diagnose issues of fit-up, component part inspections, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
- Accurately report production achieved and associated inventory transactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Willing to learn from and contribute to a team.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Perseverance in solving problems and finding new ways to deliver better efficiency.
- Proficient with hand tools.
- Experience in heavy equipment - manufacturing preferred.
- Able to read and understand schematics.
- Experience with hydraulic systems, power trains, fabrication, assembly, and DC electrical systems.
- Basic PC knowledge (ability to operate a keyboard and basic navigation between screens within an application).
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
