We are seeking a dedicated Speech Therapist to provide speech and language services to students with communication disorders in a school district in Spencer, North Carolina. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will evaluate and diagnose communication disorders, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

About the Position
  • This is a full-time position with a caseload that will be discussed during the interview.
  • The Speech Therapist will work onsite during the 2023-2024 school year.

Job Requirements

  • A valid North Carolina State SLP License is required.
  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent is also required.
  • Prior school-based experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to diagnose communication disorders.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluations and assessments.
  • Provide speech and language therapy to students in both individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers and parents, to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, assessments, and therapy sessions.
  • Attend meetings and provide reports on student progress.
