Compliance and eCommerce Director

At Boston College, we are seeking a highly skilled Compliance and eCommerce Director to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating University business processes, controls, systems, and compliance activities.
The Compliance and eCommerce Director will direct the use of eCommerce payment solutions to ensure accountability and conformity with University policies. They will also provide guidance on operational aspects related to cash and cash equivalents, processing of funds, credit card merchant services, and PCI_DSS compliance.
In addition, the position will support the University's continuous monitoring program efforts, execute operational tasks related to PeopleSoft Financials reporting, and assist with various financial compliance requirements.
The Compliance and eCommerce Director will also provide support on all financial applications used by the University's Controller's Office, including participating on system implementation teams, executing accounting and technology test plans, and recommending enhancements in University business processes to improve operational efficiencies, controls, and accountability.
Key qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent, a minimum of five years of progressively responsible accounting or business systems analysis experience, and experience with non-profit institutional accounting or public accounting firms.
The ideal candidate will have experience using eCommerce applications, PeopleSoft or other financial accounting systems, and have a strong understanding of financial statements. They will also possess excellent project management skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and the ability to consolidate complex data into concise management reports.
