Job Title: Back Office Medical Assistant Floater

The Back Office Medical Assistant Floater will provide quality patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician for both clinical and administrative functions. This role will support clinician and care management teams in assessing, maintaining chronic disease management, and treating patient populations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.
  • Support clinician and care management teams in assessing and maintaining chronic disease management.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, employees, and the public.
  • Floating employee will work in various offices to support in either the MA role or dedicated lab station.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of laboratory quality control requirements.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of universal precaution procedures in medical safety practices.
  • Phlebotomy skills.
  • Ability to assess emergencies and act accordingly.
Work Environment:

This is a fully on-site position with a duration of 6 months. The work environment is 100% onsite, floating between Miami Lakes, Miami Lakes East, and Miramar. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 10:00am-7:00pm, and every other Saturday, 7:45am-12:00pm.
