Automotive Technician

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Konecky Oil Inc., a reputable family-owned auto repair shop in Mead, Nebraska. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine automotive maintenance and mechanical repairs, including oil changes, tire rotations, and transmission flushes.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and air conditioner re-charges
• Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers' vehicle problems and provide accurate repair recommendations
• Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair and manufacturer training requirements
• Conduct necessary mechanical repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness
• Be detail-oriented and keep accurate paperwork for both the customer and for our records
• Clean and maintain the work environment

• Automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training required
• Hold a valid driver license
• Graduated from an associate degree program in auto maintenance and repair
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service
• Must be able to maintain accurate records with detail
• High school diploma/GED required
• ASE certification a plus
• Willingness to participate in in-house training
• Ability to operate all auto repair tools
• Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment a must
