About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team at HR Recruiting Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care to infants in need of specialized neonatal services.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in neonatal care and a Master's degree in nursing. A Registered Nurse License (Hawaii) is required at hire, as well as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License (Hawaii), Basic Life Support from American Heart Association, and National Provider Identifier. Additionally, a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certificate is necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment and Care: Assess gestational age, perform physical exams, and evaluate infants' progress.
  • Procedures and Treatments: Perform resuscitation, umbilical artery and vein catheterization, endotracheal intubation, and other procedures following clinical competencies for advanced practice.
  • Laboratory Tests and Diagnostics: Order and interpret lab tests, radiographs, and routine diagnostics, including Newborn Screening and head ultrasounds.
  • Medication and Nutrition: Prescribe phototherapy, antimicrobial therapy, enteral/parenteral nutrition, and supplements as needed.
  • Clinical Leadership: Develop standards/procedures/protocols for Neonatal Care, implement quality improvement initiatives, and participate in Perinatal Quality Management Program.
  • Educational Programs: Provide educational programs for staff to support QI activities and maintain current knowledge and skills to the Neonatal area.
Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is $145,000 - $165,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements
  • A minimum of two years of experience in neonatal care.
  • A Master's degree in nursing.
  • A Registered Nurse License (Hawaii) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License (Hawaii).
  • Basic Life Support from American Heart Association and National Provider Identifier.
  • A Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certificate.
