The Toledo Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Echocardiogram Technician to join our team in a busy Cardiology Office. This full-time position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with no weekends or holidays. We offer a comprehensive benefits package to our employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality echocardiograms and non-invasive cardiac tests, recognizing abnormalities and obtaining accurate measurements and calculations.
- Write technical preliminary reports and collaborate with physicians on abnormal results.
- Prepare patients for treadmill stress tests and assist physicians with related functions according to department policy.
- Apply holter monitor recorders and perform holter tape analysis according to department protocol.
- Utilize the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to gather necessary information prior to testing.
- Review and finalize reports before sending them to referring physicians.
- Maintain equipment in proper working order between preventative maintenance checks.
- Perform administrative duties and complete paperwork to ensure efficient department operation, including accurate charge ticket completion.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of EKG, Holter Monitor, Stress Test, and echocardiogram procedures.
- Consistent punctuality, professional attire, and timely completion of tasks.
- Ability to adapt to expanded roles and assist colleagues as needed.
- Adherence to all Toledo Clinic policies and procedures.
- Associates Degree in Cardiovascular Technology and registry in Echocardiograms through ARDMS or equivalent registry board.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, as well as hemodynamics and measurements experience.
