Job Summary

The Toledo Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Echocardiogram Technician to join our team in a busy Cardiology Office. This full-time position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with no weekends or holidays. We offer a comprehensive benefits package to our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality echocardiograms and non-invasive cardiac tests, recognizing abnormalities and obtaining accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Write technical preliminary reports and collaborate with physicians on abnormal results.
  • Prepare patients for treadmill stress tests and assist physicians with related functions according to department policy.
  • Apply holter monitor recorders and perform holter tape analysis according to department protocol.
  • Utilize the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to gather necessary information prior to testing.
  • Review and finalize reports before sending them to referring physicians.
  • Maintain equipment in proper working order between preventative maintenance checks.
  • Perform administrative duties and complete paperwork to ensure efficient department operation, including accurate charge ticket completion.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of EKG, Holter Monitor, Stress Test, and echocardiogram procedures.
  • Consistent punctuality, professional attire, and timely completion of tasks.
  • Ability to adapt to expanded roles and assist colleagues as needed.
  • Adherence to all Toledo Clinic policies and procedures.
  • Associates Degree in Cardiovascular Technology and registry in Echocardiograms through ARDMS or equivalent registry board.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, as well as hemodynamics and measurements experience.
