Advanced Practice Provider

The Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority seeks a skilled Advanced Practice Provider to deliver high-quality medical care services in the Emergency Department and Inpatient units. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients across the lifespan, utilizing your expertise in medical diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough medical screenings and classify patient acuity levels
- Stabilize critically ill patients and perform medical screening exams
- Apply crisis management knowledge and make medical decisions
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies, and prescribe pharmaceutical agents
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to optimize patient management
Requirements:
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited Physician's Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner program
- Current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina (or immediately obtainable)
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required
- Ongoing continuing medical education to maintain credentials
Work Environment:
The Cherokee hospital provides 24/7 services, and you will work primarily in a hospital environment. You must adhere to OSHA guidelines and protocol for maintaining sterile conditions.
Customer Service:
As a representative of the Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority, you will consistently demonstrate superior customer service skills to patients/customers, aligning with our guiding principles and core values.
