Job Summary

In collaboration with a physician, this role diagnoses and treats certain acute or chronic health conditions in specific populations. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview, and examination.
  • Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies.
  • Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
  • Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options, and community resources.
  • Coordinates the registration functions including collecting and entering demographic, insurance, employer information, and co-payments.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in Nursing required upon hire
  • No experience required
  • RN - Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Eligible to practice nursing in the State of Kentucky required upon hire AND
  • APRN - Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required upon hire AND
  • APRN - National certification from American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) required upon hire OR
  • APRN - National certification from American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACCN) required upon hire OR
  • APRN - National certification from National Certification for the Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties (NCCCOGN) required upon hire OR
  • APRN - National certification from Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) required upon hire OR
  • APRN - National certification from American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) required upon hire OR
  • APRN - National certification as Neonatal Nurse Practitioner from National Certification Corporation (NCC) required upon hire
