The Travel Nurse RN plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care across various healthcare settings. This position involves a wide range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the well-being of patients during their treatment journey.
Certification Requirements- Must possess current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, EMF/AWHONN, and STABLE (certifications must be accredited by the American Heart Association; RQI is not accepted).
- Implement and manage care plans, including administering medications, collecting specimens, and providing clinical treatments.
- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patient needs and develop appropriate care strategies.
- Monitor and document patient conditions, ensuring effective communication with the care team, physicians, patients, and their families.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care, including transfers, discharges, and addressing psychosocial support needs.
- Assess educational needs of patients and families, providing tailored education based on age, culture, and medical conditions.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional health of patients throughout their care.
- Participate in surgical procedures, including circulating during C-sections and assisting physicians as necessary.
- Adhere to established protocols during the recovery and management of surgical patients.
- Conduct assessments of neonates post-delivery in the C-section suite.
- Attend fetal monitoring certification courses every two years.
- Participate in S T A B L E certification classes if NRP certified.
- Effectively communicate essential information to both physicians and patients.
- Possession of a valid WY RN license is mandatory and must be included with the application.
- Experience in RN Nursery and L&D is required.
