Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Stick Welder to join our team. As a Stick Welder, you will be responsible for performing stick welding on various projects, including welding new plates and patching barges.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform stick welding on various projects, including welding new plates and patching barges.
  • Ensure robust and secure welds on both new and used steel materials, meeting or exceeding industry standards.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail, producing clean and accurate welds that contribute to the structural integrity and safety of marine vessels.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a safe and organized work area.
  • Inspect and maintain welding equipment, promptly reporting any issues or malfunctions to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a stick welder.
  • Proficiency in stick welding techniques, including electrode selection, arc control, and heat management.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Strong knowledge of metal properties, fabrication techniques, and welding processes.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
  • Demonstrated understanding of safety protocols and practices in welding operations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
