Job Summary

Adventist Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in Los Angeles, California.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals or radiation intravenously to detect or treat diseases, utilizing radioisotope equipment.
  • Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation, ensuring accurate results.
  • Coordinate patient flow and maintain procedure quality control, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
Requirements
  • Diploma/certificate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine: Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in nuclear medicine technology or equivalent: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications
  • State Nuclear Medicine License: Required in CA and HI
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine OR Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist: Required in CA and OR
  • Venipuncture certification: Required in CA and HI
  • State Nuclear Med Tech (SNMT): Required
Facility Specific License/Certifications
  • Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or National Nuclear Med Tech (NMTCB): Required
  • Venipuncture (IV) certification: Required
Essential Functions
  • Prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes in therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies using a variety of radioisotope equipment.
  • Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation.
  • Document all pertinent information regarding radioactive materials and surveys in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Obtain pertinent patient information and disseminate subsequent patient preparation instructions to patient care areas.
  • Elevate questions, problems, and significant challenges to more senior staff for direction or subject matter expertise.
