We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our OpenStack Engineering team at Canonical, a leading international software company.
As a Software Engineer on this team, you will be responsible for building Charmed OpenStack and Ceph, a suite of open source Python-based charms for deploying and managing OpenStack and Ceph. Your work will have a significant impact on the cloud platform technologies used by a wide range of users and computing environments.
This role requires a Python software developer with a passion for automating infrastructure as code. You will work collaboratively with a distributed team to design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with a distributed team to design and develop software solutions
- Write high-quality code to create new features and debug issues
- Review code produced by other engineers and provide feedback
- Discuss ideas and collaborate on finding good solutions
- Ensure the success of OpenStack and Ceph on multiple architectures
- Strong understanding of Python programming language
- Experience with Linux and open source software
- Knowledge of cloud computing and distributed systems
- Ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team
