Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the area of practice assigned to manage, implementing effective scheduling and follow-up on files within the practice area.
  • Manage staff assigned to the practice area, ensuring timely processing of files and providing sound and accurate legal representation.
  • Implement safeguards to escalate legal issues to the attorney and managing attorneys for review and action.

  • Timely bill all matters for which you are responsible.
  • Have effective, professional, and timely communications with clients on matters you are handling.
  • Timely update all clients on matters you are handling, including client reporting systems.
  • Effectively and professionally coordinate and interact with other attorneys and staff in processing client matters.
  • Maintain procedures and safeguards to protect client confidentiality and avoid conflicts of interest.
  • Escalate issues to managing attorneys for matters in which client relationships may be negatively impacted or matters in which the firm may experience liability.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3-4+ years of experience as an attorney.
  • Litigation background and must be very comfortable in a courtroom.
  • Must be barred in Missouri and willing to become licensed in Kansas and Kentucky.
