Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor, Chemistry to join our faculty team at Tyler Junior College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching chemistry courses and providing academic support to students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach chemistry courses to students at various levels, including introductory and advanced courses.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments to promote student learning and success.
  • Provide academic support to students, including office hours and tutoring.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of chemistry and incorporate new knowledge and techniques into teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and assessment strategies.

Requirements
  • Master's degree or 18+ graduate hours in chemistry or a related field.
  • Appropriate licensure to practice in industry and three years recent work experience in the field.
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
