Job Summary

As a Medical Assistant at Allergy Partners, you will play a vital role in coordinating patient care with physicians, assisting with assessments, administering medications, and performing administrative duties that enhance patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient care with physicians and assist with assessments
  • Administer medications pursuant to physician orders
  • Assist with administrative duties that further patient care
  • Provide clinical support, including greeting patients, preparing them for exams, and taking vital signs
  • Assist physicians with procedures and tests, such as spirometry and breathing tests
  • Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization
  • Perform patient education and complete documentation in patients' medical records
  • Call in prescriptions as ordered by physicians or nurse practitioners
  • Perform allergy prick testing and administer allergy injections as ordered
  • Maintain emergency equipment and respond to patient-related telephone calls
  • Follow up on referrals and insurance authorizations as requested
  • Maintain clinical supply stock and medication samples
Requirements
  • High school degree required
  • CMA certificate desirable
  • At least one year of experience in clinical assisting
  • Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications
  • Knowledge of practice management and word processing software
  • Good communication skills
  • Neat, professional appearance
