Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive assistance to customers, ensuring their needs are met and their time is valued.
  • Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Count vehicles on location throughout your shift, as needed, to maintain accurate records.
  • Issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors who violate garage policies, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Assist customers who have forgotten where they parked their vehicle, providing helpful guidance and support.
  • Be punctual and present for every scheduled shift, dressed in uniform, and ready to deliver exceptional service.
  • Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed, ensuring a safe and efficient flow of vehicles.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and perform general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
  • Report any accidents, observed or suspected policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
  • Communicate debris, water, oil spills, and other issues to the garage office, ensuring prompt attention and resolution.
  • Substitute for Valets when necessary, if authorized, and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in your role.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the garage, major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area to provide expert guidance and support to customers.
  • Collaborate with the Facility Manager to complete other duties as needed, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional customer experiences.

Requirements:

  • A valid state driver's license, current address, and an acceptable driving record.
  • The ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift) is a plus.
  • Availability to work special shifts, including 2nd, 3rd shift, and weekends, as needed.
  • Proof of eligibility to work legally in the U.S. (must provide valid documentation if hired).
  • The ability to provide accurate information to customers and colleagues, respond professionally to customer problems or complaints, and maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations.
  • The ability to read, write, add, and subtract US currency, comprehend instructions, short emails, and memos, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • The ability to calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events while working, ensuring a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
