Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer-in-Training to join our Transportation/Traffic team in Long Beach, California. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing traffic engineering and project management tasks to deliver a wide range of transportation planning, transit, traffic engineering, safety, and intelligent transportation systems (ITS) projects for diverse clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform traffic engineering and project management tasks to deliver transportation planning, transit, traffic engineering, safety, and ITS projects.
  • Assist with managing projects profitably and engage in hands-on practice and delivery of projects.
  • Transition work to qualified staff and act as a positive leader and mentor.
  • Contribute significantly to marketing and business development efforts and have the autonomy to pursue their own passions, leads, and clients.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of traffic engineering experience, including preparing and/or reviewing traffic impact studies, preparing parking studies, and preparing site access and circulation studies.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an ABET-accredited university in Civil Engineering.
  • Holds Engineer-In-Training or Engineering Intern certification.
  • Experience using Synchro, VISSIM, and/or other traffic analysis software applications.
  • Excellent technical writing skills and ability to communicate technical thoughts clearly and concisely.
