Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project scope and fee proposals, aiding in the formulation of technical submissions and agreements in line with HNTB's Advanced Contracting Methodology (ACM).
  • Act as the primary liaison for clients, steering the project team to ensure the delivery of project scope, timelines, and budgets to meet client expectations. Facilitate client contract negotiations and scope discussions.
  • Conduct technical tasks including analysis, reporting, design, specifications, and production for assigned projects.
  • Execute the firm's project delivery strategy utilizing HNTB's Advanced Delivery Method (ADM) for each initiative. Lead the creation and implementation of the project management strategy. Mentor and supervise the team to achieve overall project goals.
  • Oversee project staffing, which includes recruitment, development, retention, and succession planning for project personnel; manage reporting plans for project staff; and support performance evaluations and compensation reviews.
  • Collaborate with Client Service Leaders and business development champions to enhance client relationships and pursue opportunities for major projects, adhering to HNTB's Advanced Sales Strategy (ASS). Work alongside the project team and marketing resources to develop compelling proposals and presentation materials. Lead proposal development and presentations for strategic projects, as well as general industry and community presentations.
  • May be responsible for the recruitment, training, and retention of staff, including the development of reporting plans, performance reviews, and succession planning.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of successful management experience in engineering projects.

Desired Skills:

  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients across multi-disciplinary or large-scale projects. Proficient in identifying and managing risks and changes independently.
  • Experience leading large teams, both internally and externally, including sub-consultants.
  • Proficient in utilizing systems and tools for managing, monitoring, and delivering complex projects.
  • Familiarity with HNTB's Advanced processes as applicable to the project.
  • Serve as the primary interface with clients.
  • Ability to allocate talent to various projects and develop successors for ongoing client engagements.
  • Proactive in recognizing and managing risks and changes independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD).
  • Background in Alternative Delivery Projects.
  • Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification in Louisiana.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
