Premise Health Systems is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Bristol, TN. As a healthcare professional, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide medical care to patients in an ambulatory care setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess strong clinical knowledge.

Responsibilities:
  • Interview patients to determine medical problems/conditions and document in charts for physicians
  • Obtain and record patient's vital signs and weight
  • Assist physicians with patient examinations as needed
  • Review physician's orders, lab requests, or follow-up needs with patients
  • Document services performed on appropriate forms
  • Dress wounds as instructed. Apply compresses, ice and heat packs
  • Observe patients and report adverse reactions to medication or treatment to medical personnel in charge
  • Administer specified medication, orally or by subcutaneous or intermuscular injection, and note time and amount on patients' charts
  • Assemble and use clinic equipment
  • Collect samples, such as urine, blood, and sputum, from patients for testing and perform routine laboratory tests on samples
  • Sterilize equipment and supplies
  • Clean rooms and change linens
  • Maintain supplies, including stocking and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies
  • Respond to patient or client telephone inquiries by evaluating and responding to the patient's/clients problems and questions
Requirements:
  • Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited program, Associate's degree (A.S.) and/or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • Licensed as a Practical or Vocational Nurse
  • Current hands-on Certification in Basic Life Support is required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on scope of contract services
  • At least three years of clinical experience as a LPN/LVN in an ambulatory care, occupational health, or emergency department setting
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge about workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations
  • Strong computer skills (Internet software, spreadsheet, word processing etc.) preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred
Benefits:

Premise Health Systems offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
