At University of Minnesota Physicians, we are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiation therapy and be able to deliver high-quality patient care.

The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for administering prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts, using radiation therapy equipment according to established practices and standards. Additionally, the therapist will prepare and construct equipment such as immobilization devices as needed or prescribed by the physician.

The successful candidate will have excellent patient relations skills, be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and have a strong attention to detail. The Radiation Therapist will work under the direction of the manager and may assume additional therapist responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administers prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts
  • Uses radiation therapy equipment according to established practices and standards
  • Prepares and constructs equipment such as immobilization devices as needed or prescribed by the physician
  • Prepares and keeps stock of the treatment rooms
  • Under the direction of the manager, may assume additional therapist responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • ARRT registration in radiation therapy or be board eligible by completing the appropriate school of radiation therapy and completing registration within three months of hire
  • BLS certification
  • Excellent patient relations skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Hours: Casual
