Cybersecurity Specialist for Complex Defense Networks

Leidos is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Reston, Virginia. As a key member of our Information Systems Security Engineering (ISSE) team, you will play a critical role in monitoring TEMPEST certifications and developing RMF accreditation packages for complex mission-critical defense networks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain RMF accreditation packages, including detailed controls, system scanning plans, POA&M maintenance, and bodies of evidence validating control implementation
• Plan and detail the security of complex mission-critical defense networks per the DoD RMF plan
• Perform and/or review security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established information assurance standards and regulations, and recommend mitigation strategies
• Assist architects and systems developers in the identification and implementation of appropriate information security functionality to ensure uniform application of security policy and solutions
• Assess and develop mitigations for system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle
• Contribute to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification, and awareness activities for system and networking operations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum of 4+ years of relative experience in cybersecurity or a related field
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, information assurance, or cybersecurity
• Experience with the NIST Risk Management Framework and NIST SP 800-53 control development and documentation
• Ability to achieve a high degree of customer satisfaction and maintain Leidos' positive brand recognition
• Experience working with DoD security accreditation and authorization, eMASS, and Tenable Nessus preferred
