Coverage Information:
This role involves providing supplemental coverage with a focus on clinical responsibilities. The call schedule includes 24-hour coverage once per month, ensuring a balanced workload.
Patient Care:
You will manage a patient volume of approximately 12 in the clinic and 1-2 hospital admissions. Rounding is included in your responsibilities, supported by a dedicated team of 2 Advanced Practice Providers and 1 Medical Assistant.
Procedural Expectations:
The position requires proficiency in various procedures, including:
- Routine deliveries (Vaginal, Low Forceps, C-sections)
- Management of complicated deliveries (Breech, Multiple births, VBACs)
- Repair of severe lacerations (3rd & 4th degree)
- Surgical gynecology procedures (Laparoscopic diagnostic tubal ligation, ectopic pregnancy management, ovary removal, cystectomy)
Facility Information:
The facility is equipped with 10 beds in the department and operates at a trauma level of 1-4.
Requirements:
Candidates must possess an active Michigan medical license or IMLC. Board Certification/Eligibility and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are also required.
Additional Information:
The facility utilizes Cerner for electronic medical records, and temporary privileges are available. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance will be covered by the employer.
