Job Summary:

As a Radiology Technologist at Adventist Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate professional to join our team in Sonora, California.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate x-ray equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of designated body parts as ordered by physicians.
  • Position and instruct patients prior to examination, adjust x-ray equipment, and determine proper voltage, current, and exposure time for each radiograph.
  • Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation, explain procedures to patients, and answer questions.
  • Prepare equipment for use as needed, prepare examination rooms for patient exams, and position patients for imaging exams.
  • Monitor patients and ensure safety during exams, produce diagnostic images, document exam information, and report important information to physicians.
  • Verify exams on PACS and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in radiological technology (preferred).
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT-R) certification (required).
  • Radiologic Tech (RT) certification in the state of practice (required in CA and HI).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
  • Fluoroscopy license in the state of employment (preferred).
