We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our ICU team at UP Health System - Marquette. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Monitor and record patient condition, communicating effectively with the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate patient learning needs and provide education to patients and families.
- Advocate for patients' physical and emotional well-being.
- State of Michigan RN license
- Associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred)
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification within 30 days of hire
- Handle with Care- Advanced certification within 90 days
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 1 year
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification within 1 year
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification within 1 year
- $7,500 sign-on bonus with 24-month commitment
- Shift differentials: $2.60 nights, $2.00 weekends, $1.10 afternoons, $1.00 Specialty Certs, double-time incentive shifts, plus flexible shifts/self-scheduling
