Job Summary

Jabil is seeking an experienced Electronics Test Engineering Technician to develop and maintain test procedures for electronic circuit production in a server manufacturing environment.

  • Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain test procedures for electronic circuit production.
  • Test hardware and software for electronic circuit production.
  • Assist in the development of automated test scripts using scripting languages.
  • Monitor system operations during testing cycles and document any errors encountered.
  • Repair testers and fixtures in accordance with the fault logging and downtime system.
  • Diagnose faults and drive corrective actions to ensure minimal reoccurrence of failures.
  • Document all repairs and improvements on test equipment.
  • Monitor testers for intermittencies and reduce them in accordance with targets set.
  • Provide support to Operations and Test Engineers through participation in the continuous improvement effort and promotion of a "Quality First" mentality.
  • Schedule and execute maintenance on time and to the correct standards.
  • Develop a preventative maintenance program for each element of test equipment.
  • Control and maintain the part numbering system for all test equipment and spares.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge Requirements

  • At least 1+ years of experience troubleshooting at the component level using schematics or hardware specifications.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages, Linux, and hardware/network troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware components with the ability to diagnose and repair various issues within a server manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • High school diploma required.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Diagnostic Technicians are required to wear appropriate PPE, including hearing protection, composite toe shoes, and protective eyewear. The manufacturing floor is well-lit and climate-controlled.
