Duke Health Integrated Practice is a leading healthcare organization that offers a unique opportunity for a Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect care to patients in our Aesthetics Services clinic located in Durham, NC.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Part-Time Surgical Technologist to assist our surgical team in providing high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in surgical technology and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pull and prepare all necessary equipment and supplies for surgeries
  • Set up and maintain a sterile surgical field
  • Clean and sterilize instruments after surgery
  • Assist with the preparation of the operating room for the next surgery
  • Stock and maintain exam rooms
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff members, and physicians

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or completion of the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) certification exam
  • Level I- Entry-level position for new graduates or Surgical Technologists with 0-18 months of experience
  • Level II- Requires 6-12 months of full-time equivalent Surgical Technology or relevant military experience

Work Schedule:

The schedule for this position is 8-10 hour shifts, Tuesday through Friday, starting at 6:30am. Less than 20 hours per week.
