Position Overview
The primary aim of this role is to deliver critical administrative processes, technical expertise, and guidance as outlined.

This role may function as an Area Lead or Lead on designated projects, undertaking complex engineering tasks, assessing, selecting, and applying advanced engineering methodologies to a wide array of intricate assignments.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and evaluate estimates and timelines, progress reports, including workforce projections
  • Establish, monitor, and analyze key material quantities; provide assessments and forecasts
  • Draft and review specifications, including design parameters
  • Engage in activities related to equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting
  • Execute and verify calculations, specify equipment, and resolve complex engineering challenges
  • Contribute to talent development through mentoring, creating training materials, conducting training sessions, and providing performance feedback
  • Analyze and independently recommend solutions to problems of varying complexity in line with organizational and project objectives
  • Additional duties as assigned

Candidate Considerations:
Applicants must possess authorization to work in the country where the position is based.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in an engineering discipline and ten (10) years of relevant experience; recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field may be required; additional qualifications may apply based on local regulations
  • Effective communication skills with diverse audiences including management, colleagues, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Technical knowledge pertinent to the role
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of relevant local, state/province, and federal/national regulations
  • Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under time constraints
  • Preferred professional registration and membership in relevant technical societies
  • Advanced understanding of discipline codes and standards, material availability, and cost considerations
  • Experience in effort-hour estimation and staffing forecasts
  • Proven ability to manage and lead large-scale projects
  • Competence in project initiation, developing control-level schedules, progress tracking, and project closure
  • Practical field experience
  • Intermediate proficiency in computer software including word processing, email, spreadsheets, and presentation tools
Additional Job Requirements:
  • Advanced knowledge of pipeline design codes such as ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, and their CFR equivalents.
  • Expertise in pipeline material standards and the creation of data sheets.
  • Proficiency in developing pipeline material, construction, and design specifications.
  • Advanced skills in pipeline design software.
  • Strong ability to quality check pipeline drawings, including alignment sheets, detailed crossing drawings, and typical drawings.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, environmental permitting, and land acquisition processes.
  • Knowledge of pipeline constructability and appropriate crossing methodologies.
  • Advanced understanding of GIS support.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with carbon dioxide, hydrogen, and anhydrous ammonia pipelines.
  • Experience with cryogenic product pipelines.
  • Experience with high-temperature product pipelines.
  • Familiarity with regional design codes such as BS, CSA, ISO, DNV, etc.
