Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electroencephalogram Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our neurodiagnostic team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality EEG testing services to patients in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient history and apply electrodes in proper positions for EEG testing
  • Record EEG data with standard montages and modify as necessary for patient diagnosis or physician instructions
  • Recognize and troubleshoot artifact, document changes in patient condition, and mark potential abnormalities
  • Use activation procedures as appropriate for each patient
  • Participate in departmental activities to improve patient satisfaction and maintain accurate documentation
Requirements
  • High school education and 1-2 years of formal EEG training or experience
  • Eligibility to sit for the EEG board exam
  • Good communication, people, and organizational skills
  • Experience with computers and CPR certification
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to function in a multicultural environment, communicate effectively, and stand for extended periods. You will also be required to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance and use patient handling equipment when necessary.
