Job Title: PRN RN (PACU)

Iberia Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider in New Iberia, LA, is seeking a skilled PRN RN (PACU) to join our team. As a PRN RN, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission to be the premier hospital of choice.

About the Role:

Under the supervision of the Unit Director and with the authority of the Chief Nursing Officer, the PRN RN will apply the nursing process to care for patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety, and related criteria for newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor and report patient progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in nursing care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a state-approved RN School of nursing.
  • Current license as a RN in the State of Louisiana.
  • ACLS certification required; PALS preferred.
  • Previous experience in a PACU setting preferred, but not required.
