The Orange Unified School District is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Behavioral Support Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the social, emotional, and academic needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide behavioral support to students in a classroom setting, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans for students.
  • Assist with classroom management, including supervising students during transitions and breaks.
  • Support students with special needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and other disabilities.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive team approach.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with students with special needs, particularly those with autism and ADHD.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Pass the OUSD Instructional Assistant Test.
