About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Supervisor to join our team at The Jewish Home for Rehabilitation and Nursing. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leadership to our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and training to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care and staff satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state.
  • Minimum 5+ years nursing experience in a hospital, nursing home or other healthcare setting and a minimum 1-year experience as a nurse supervisor.
  • Effective communication skills, professionalism, and ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care centers.
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
