Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Bariatric Med-Surg team at Memorial Health University Medical Center. As a key member of our interdependent team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and achieving positive outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain overall accountability for assigned patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Manage the efficient flow of patient care, including screening, preparation for exams, providing general nursing care, and arranging for admissions, testing, and discharges.
  • Review and maintain patients' records, including posting test results and examination findings.
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans.
  • Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing, holding an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state where you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.
