We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician III - Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Veolia North America. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems, instrumentation, and mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of electrical systems, instrumentation, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Inspect and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems, equipment, and fixtures to identify and resolve issues.
- Calibrate and adjust instrumentation, valves, flow meters, and other equipment to ensure accurate readings and optimal performance.
- Program and tune variable frequency drives, controllers, and other equipment to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Download and restore stored data in PLCs, controllers, and other equipment to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Complete tasks and repairs common to their licensed specialty, including electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical work.
- Report and document results of inspections and work performed, including labor and material estimates.
- Operate vehicles and mobile equipment for plant maintenance purposes.
- Train peers and subordinates as requested.
- Assure work is performed in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Four years of on-the-job electrician/instrumentation experience required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Electrical Journeyman's License required; other nationally recognized licensed trades will be considered.
- Ability to work in various positions, including bending, walking, standing, and sitting.
- Ability to lift and carry 60 pounds in standing and bending positions.
- Ability to work at heights of 50 feet above the ground.
This position requires working in outside and inside environments with noise and all temperatures and climatic conditions. The ability to work under adverse weather conditions for extended periods of time is also required.
