Medical Professional for Hospital Care

We are seeking a skilled Medical Professional to provide high-quality care to our patients at OU Health - 700 NE 13th. This role involves working under general supervision, providing nursing care in a hospital setting to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
Responsibilities- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, and noting all changes in physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians in the examination of patients and perform minor diagnostic procedures and treatment as needed.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observing manifestations and intervening when necessary.
- Administer medication as prescribed and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Deliver patient care competently and interact with family and patient in sharing care plans while in the hospital and at time of discharge.
- 1 year of experience in the field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques effectively.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees.
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
