Key Responsibilities- Specimen Receipt and Processing: Receive and verify biological specimens, ensuring accuracy and completeness of specimen data.
- Sample Preparation: Prepare samples for analytical testing, following established departmental procedures and practices.
- Quality Control: Maintain a high level of quality in all work performed, meeting or exceeding department quality performance metrics.
- Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service and supporting a team-oriented environment.
- Continuous Learning: Maintain technical competence in all assigned tasks, participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent GED exam.
- Experience: Six (6) months' experience in a laboratory or key encoding environment.
- Skills: Good reading, writing, and math abilities; oral and written communication skills; good organization skills; typing/keyboarding skills of minimum 25 wpm.
