Label Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Label Fabricator to join our team at Ready Pac Produce, Inc. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining label applicator equipment, ensuring the quality of the label application process, and supporting production team leads in driving production to the highest safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain label applicator equipment to ensure accurate and efficient label application.
• Verify date, lot code, and plant code are printed correctly on labels/cases.
• Follow and maintain HACCP, cleaning, and sanitation guidelines and processes.
• Test run labels and adjust equipment settings as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members to complete required documentation.
• Perform daily pre-flight inspections and conduct changeovers.
• Confirm correct labels are being applied to product/case.
• Clean Herma applicator and thread labels into equipment.
• Program information into equipment and setup label applicator.
• Follow and enforce the 5S Methodology and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Basic computer skills and ability to multitask.
• Willingness to work in a cold, wet, fast-paced, 24-hour plant environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb stairs numerous times a day.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• GED/High School Diploma.

Physical Work Environment:

This position entails use of ladders and catwalks to reach production equipment, working near moving mechanical parts, and exposure to extreme cold for extended periods. The associate frequently works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
