Pharmacist PRN Job Description

Vibra Healthcare is seeking a skilled Pharmacist PRN to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Fill and dispense medication orders, ensuring proper handling, usage, and storage of drugs in the pharmacy.
  • Maintain high standards of care and translate policies and procedures into daily operations.
  • Act as an information resource to patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy and drug-related information.
  • Collaborate with the medical staff and nursing team to deliver quality and cost-effective drug therapies to patients.
  • Participate in the hospital's Antibiotic Stewardship Program, focusing on patient safety and public health.
  • Provide leadership in the absence of the Director, as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Pharmacist in the state of employment.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
  • Experience with pharmacokinetics and anticoagulation preferred.
  • TPN experience preferred.
  • Current, valid and active BLS and ACLS certifications from a Vibra-approved vendor preferred.
