Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Substitute Teacher in our Head Start program. As a Substitute Teacher, you will work closely with our experienced teachers to provide high-quality education and care to our preschool-age children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in planning and implementing engaging and developmentally appropriate activities for children
  • Supervise and care for children in the classroom, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff to ensure a smooth and successful program
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
