Job Overview

Position Summary: The Canine Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for the welfare and enhancement of canine playgroups. This role requires commitment as it involves working throughout the year, including weekends and holidays, in various weather conditions. The position entails significant physical activity, with approximately 60% of the time spent supervising playgroups and maintaining cleanliness, 20% dedicated to managing feeding and transportation of dogs, and the remaining 20% focused on general facility upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, nurture, and enrich playgroups of dogs using the latest evidence-based practices in canine behavior and training. This includes engaging in play, enhancing group play skills for safety, and participating in enrichment activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and management to deliver high-quality dog daycare, overnight care, and enrichment services.
  • Ensure consistent customer satisfaction and support the efficient operation of the facility, upholding our mission to provide comprehensive care and enrichment for all dogs.
  • Perform cleaning tasks, including waste management, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting areas, as well as bathing dogs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for all dogs in care, ensuring accurate documentation of individual dog information as per facility communication protocols.
  • Familiarize oneself with and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: Previous experience with dogs is preferred, which may include pet ownership or participation in dog training seminars.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working in varying outdoor temperatures.
  • Health Requirements: All employees must be current on their Tetanus vaccination.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read and understand dog-related information and effectively communicate any concerns to management.
  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of Windows-based applications is advantageous.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues, analyze emergencies, and respond swiftly to ensure the safety and well-being of the dogs.
