The primary duties of a Safety and Security Specialist encompass, but are not limited to:
  • Protecting the safety of guests and the integrity of the property.
  • Providing assistance to guests during emergencies or security-related incidents.
  • Documenting incidents through detailed reports.
  • Conducting regular patrols of the hotel’s interior and exterior to identify potential safety and security hazards.
  • Responding to emergencies, including safety threats, fires, medical situations, and other critical incidents.
  • Initiating preliminary investigations into reported incidents as necessary.
  • Addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly and courteously.
Essential Skills:

The ideal candidate for the Safety and Security Specialist position should possess the following skills:
  • Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physical stamina to stand and move efficiently for up to 8 hours, with the ability to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally.
  • A welcoming demeanor, greeting guests positively throughout shifts.
  • Responsibility in managing clock-in and clock-out procedures for shifts and breaks.
  • Adherence to uniform standards, including cleanliness and proper presentation.
Preferred Qualifications:

Desirable qualifications for the Safety and Security Specialist role include:
  • Ability to communicate in additional languages beyond English.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Position Details:

This is a part-time position requiring availability on Monday and Tuesday evenings, with additional weekend availability as needed.
